McCulloch Family Bakery

Welcome to the McCulloch Family Bakery,  tucked away on a quiet road in the valley village of Stewiacke in Nova Scotia, Canada.  Click on the banner photo above to see luscious close ups of our delicious home-baked goods and preserves, fresh out of the oven just for you!

Owned and operated by the McCulloch family, the bakery makes its goodies the old fashioned way, taking all the care that Grandma did when she created those special treats that we call "comfort food" today. Whether it's a simple loaf of bread, truly the "staff of life", chewy cookies, juicy pies or decadent donuts, we promise you we give every item the time it deserves.

Home Made Goodness - "We take pride in making everything from scratch" notes owner Lesley McCulloch with a smile.  "We did experiment with a few mixes when we first opened, but found good old fashioned recipes just worked better somehow.  The McCulloch's welcome you to their family bakery! There's no substitute for quality ingredients and taking the time needed to get it right. And of course, the taste is better too!"  That's the idea at McCulloch's Family Bakery; home made goodness means real "home baked taste".

Even our home made pickles, relishes, preserves and baked beans (cooked the old fashioned way), deliver that country taste that you'll just never find in your average grocery chain store.  We mix love into every item!

We also do catering...

Company coming and no time to bake?  The Holidays nearly upon you and too much to do?  A special luncheon meeting or party at the office?   Let us do the baking for you!  We know how busy life is these days; too many demands, too little time.  Fresh breads, rolls, desserts that will pass even the 'in-laws' test, just give us a call and let us take the worries off your shoulders...
